Family Vacation!?
I am planning a family vacation. My children are 7 and 11. We want to go to the beach. We live in Louisiana and we would like to go somewheres in Mississippi or Alabama. I would like to stay where there is a very nice pool the kids can enjoy to. Any ideas?

- TRIPS THAT I HAVE TAKEN WITH MY FAMILY (I assume you want to stay within the US) Anchorage-Lots of fun, but a long ways away from where you are Los Angeles-My 14 year old daughter really liked Hollywood Palm Springs-It's dry, but it's a fun place to relax San Francisco-My 14 year old who watches Full House nonstop loved it Russian River-I think my wife liked it more than anyone else in my family Sonoma-See Russian River note Washington, D.C.-I grew up near there and my kids thought it was fun to see the capital of the U.S. Miami-Wasn't sure about this one with the kids, but they loved it If you go to Miami, make sure to take your kids to the Monkey Jungle Atlanta-My 9 year old son liked the World of Coca Cola Chicago-It was fun. We have relatives there, so we wouldn't have gone there if it wasn't for that New Orleans-My grandmother is from there. We stayed in the French Quarter. Very nice! Ogunquit-Too small of a town for me. Friends up there. Baltimore-Grew up near there, and my 14 year old loves "Hairspray" Northampton-Probably my least favorite vacation Provincetown-2nd least favorite St. Paul-3rd least favorite Las Vegas-It's actually a great place to take your kids Atlantic City-My 18 year old loves the show "Ragtime" and there's a song about Atlantic City in that, so Santa Fe-Why waste your time there when you can go to Mexico New York-We've gone up there a lot. My 14 year old, 18 year old and me are all big Broadway fans. We see a lot of shows up there. Portland-We didn't stay in the good side of town, so I didn't really enjoy it Philadelphia-Family up there, but I like seeing the history Austin-Went in the summer. Really hot. Unenjoyable Park City-Regrets going to Utah without seeing Salt Lake City. Charlottesville-Friends there. Not much to see. Seattle-My wife loves it, but I don't care for the weather.
