Complaint to Visit Britain? I recently had a bad experience with a B&B that had a 4star visit britain award. Does anyone know how to make a complaint to visit britain, as i have been to their website and cant find anything. Thanks Ive only found one review site that has the B&B on and you have to put your details in. We already complained to the B&B and got kicked out. Well, I just felt that other people should be aware of the situation.
What should we visit in Great Britain? My students are going to Great Britain this spring. I'm looking to visit something related to information technology. Any suggestions? Two more details: - The students are about 17-18 years old. (Born 89) - In my first post I said "related to information technology." I guess computer technology is a better description of what we want to see.

What places in Britain are best to live in, and not just visit? I'd prefer a quieter, more artsy town. Maybe somewhere near a big city, but not actually in it (mainly because I know places like London are expensive to live in). If I did end up moving there, it would be in a couple years (i'm only almost 17) and seriously any help someone can give me would be awesome, because my research has only taken me so far :)
Would Dalai Lama’s visit to Britain speed up China’ s recognition of Scottish Independence ? Dalai’s London visit is on the schedule, so is Scottish independence referendum http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/uk-world-news/2008/05/16/gordon-brown-i-can-steer-britain-through-tough-times-86908-20418972/ http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/scotland/7394595.stm >> Hex Vision "Thank you China for trying to get rid of the Normans out of England and Scotland! We welcome the day there parts of China can vote for there independence as well." Get your facts straight. China only has rid Hong Kong of Norman's colonial rule. Do you have an agenda here? Or a nervous response by the question ?

Why has an Israeli Cabinet minister turned down an invitation to visit Britain? Why is he concerned he will be arrested for war crimes? http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071206/ap_on_re_mi_ea/israel_britain_1;_ylt=Ak86QeNLL6Lw2XABeDXJhEIUvioA Paperback: a person dropped a one-ton bomb on a residential neighborhood at night, killing Hamas commander Salah Shehadeh along with his bodyguard and 13 bystanders, including nine children. That is self defense? So by God he's ok? And that act of terroism is ok? and all the other acts are ok? But, if a Palestinian gets so depressed and upset and commits an act of terrorism , it is not ok? Where do we as humans draw the line? If i come at you with a gun, and you kill me that is self defense, what did the 9 children do and the others at night while sleeping? Also if i come into your home and kill you that is not self defense that is being on the offense. Why does Israel always say its self defense? my mind was not with me on the up part sorry, if I come into your home and kill you I cannot claim that it is self defense. Meaning Gaza and the west bank are occupied terratories. To go into their home and kill anyone is not self defense. Michael I appreciate your comment, but also in Canada we arrest war criminals, we have arrested many you might have heard. Not only Canada, France, many countries consider the killing of innocents by an army to be a war crime. Michael believe me, I consider any man or woman that kills an innocent to be a terrorist. I have read all your comment and appreciate your openness, this is not meant to be an attack or point fingers. Its just that I believe both sides must feel the same when any innocents are killed. War is war, a soldier can kill a soldier, but killing innocents wheather it be a Palestinian or an Israeli is a war crime. Also it is terrorism. Thank you for your reply. Michael if I come to Israel and I start to attack you with a gun or whatever then yes i would expect you to defend yourself. But if you came into my home and did it you cannot claim it is self defense that is my point. When an Israeli child dies it is terrorism, but when 9 Palestinian children die, it is not terrorism , it is not a war crime? Is it then called an accident?
Is the level of political correctness turning Britain in to a racist nation? Is the level of political correctness turning Britain in to a racist nation? Has the freedom to voice our honest opinions without getting jumped on made a bad situation worse? I ask because after a recent visit to my local pub, I was shocked by the visciousness of my usually placid buddies on the subject of immigration. Also does it make me racist when I find it hard to disagree with many of thier opinions. The main topic was on migrant workers, 400,000 of them when only 13,000 were expected, and unemployment rates for UK citizens up by the biggest jump in many years was their cause for concern. Sensible opinions please.
Where in Britain are the friendliest/ least friendly people? I'm English myself and have visited most of Britain/ UK or however you wish to term it. In my opinion people from Southern Ireland are the friendliest. What lovely welcoming folk they are. Ok it's stretching a point a bit as it is not in Britain or the UK, but it is a "home nation" if you like.
Does Tate modern and britain charge for entry? I have to visit Tate Modern and Britain for an art project over the summer and I was wondering if there is an entry fee for either and also if you are allowed to take pictures once inside these galleries. Thanks in advance.
